New User Guidelines for The Extreme Forum

Hello, my name is Jason Meuller and I'd like to personally welcome you to our Extreme Forum. This forum has been designed to allow for the free exchange of thoughts and ideas related to bodybuilding, training, nutrition, supplementation, and sports pharmacology. This board is one of the best available sources for uncensored information on these topics and should be referred to often, as the discussion is ongoing and always changing. I know that many of you may be first time users to a discussion board, and may not be familiar with how they work or some of the rules and etiquette involved as a member. The Extreme Forum is governed by a few simple rules that allow all of our members to enjoy the discussion to the fullest extent. This document is designed to familiarize new members with the function and operation of the board, give an overview of the rules, and give you some pointers to help prevent new members from making common mistakes.

The Rules of the Forum

1. Members may not post copyrighted material without the express permission of the copyright owner

2. Members should not engage in discussions that may be deemed offensive, derogatory, racist, or threatening to another person, entity, or group

3. Members may not post material that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others

4. Members may not post advertisements or solicitations for business without the permission of the owners of Anabolic Extreme

5. Members may not post threads that are off topic or meant to disrupt the continuity of The Extreme Forum

6. You must be at least 18 years of age to enter The Extreme Forum

How to Operate the Forum

1. Upon entering the forum, you will be asked to register. This information is completely confidential and cannot be accessed by anyone other than the owners of the site. Although we do ask that you enter your real name when registering, you can use a pseudonym to grant yourself further anonymity. Your username and password can be any combination of letters and numbers of your choosing. We do ask that you provide a real email address so that other members can contact you via your threads.

2. Once you have registered, you'll immediately enter The Extreme Forum. It may seem a bit confusing at first, so you may need to refer back to this document as needed.

3. Topics are referred to as Threads. Many different members can post messages in a Thread in order to give their opinion, answer questions, or provide additional insight into the topic of discussion. In order to read a particular Thread, you merely need to click on the topic you want to read.

4. Near the top of the screen, you'll see a navigation bar with options - EXIT, NEW MESSAGES, SEARCH OPTIONS, and LOGOUT/IN...

navigation bar example

Exit: Click this to exit the discussion

New Messages: This is a nice feature that will list all of the new messages since you were last on the board

Search: This feature lets you not only search the board by keywords but by author as well. It's a great way to learn more about a particular subject or read all the posts by a particular author.

Options: This button lets you modify the look and functionality of The Extreme Forum. New users should leave the options on their default settings to avoid any problems.

Logout/in: This allows you to log in and out under different accounts if you have more than one user profile

5. Just above the list of Threads you'll see two buttons marked NEW THREAD and REFRESH...

buttons example

New Thread: Clicking this button will allow you to create a new Thread, or topic of discussion on the board. Advanced users can imbed HTML codes in their threads to improve the look or make a point. New users should be aware that their post may not appear until they hit the refresh button.

Refresh: This button will refresh the page, and display any new Threads or messages that have appeared since you began your session. Please be aware you will need to refresh the page to view your own posts after submitting them to the discussion.

6. As you become more comfortable with the basic operation of The Extrem Forum, you'll want to take advantage of some of the other features. You can have all the messages that are posted in your Thread emailed directly to you. You can send an email message to everyone who has posted in a given Thread. In fact, the more you use The Extrem Forum, the more useful features you will come across.

How to Survive Your Extreme Forum Experience

If you've never been to The Extrem Forum before, it's almost like entering a foreign country. We have our own language, customs, and unspoken rules. Here's some insider tips to help you.

On the board you'll probably see some terms used that may confuse you. We've attempted to list most of these terms here and define what they mean.

Monitor: A board monitor serves several functions. Board monitors are very knowledgeable about the topic discussed here on The Extrem Forum and will help answer your questions as much as possible. A monitor also serves to maintain the continuity on the board and has the power to delete posts or, in extreme cases, ban individuals from the board. Members need to bear in mind that monitors have lives outside of the board and can only answer so many questions

Bump: This term appears throughout the board on various posts. It's used to "bump" a message to the top of the discussion, as a way to keep an old Thread alive. If you see a Thread that you feel other members should be aware of, bump it up to the top of the board.

Source: A source is someone who supplies pharmaceuticals. Members should be aware that the pharmaceuticals supplied by various sources may be illegal depending on where you live. Since the Internet is worldwide, the only person who can determine the legality of the substances being offered by the source is you. Please take the time to research laws applicable to your country, state, province, jurisdiction, or county before attempting to order anything offered by a source. Please also be aware that many sources may not be legitimate and are scammers.

Scammers: Are individuals or groups that claim to sell pharmaceuticals to members and do not deliver products. In short, they are con men and thieves. Most people who post openly as sources are scammers.

Newbie: If you are new to the use of discussion boards, especially boards dealing with the topics discussed on The Extrem Forum, you are a newbie. Don't worry, everyone was a newbie at some point. As a newbie, it's important that you familiarize yourself with the etiquette involved in the using the board to avoid getting flamed.

Flaming: Occurs when members post messages to other members that are insulting, argumentative, or sarcastic. Flaming is a part of life on The Extrem Forum and as you become increasingly familiar with the board, you'll realize which types of flames are ok and which are considered excessive. Generally if someone posts a Thread or message that the other members find less than intelligent, that person is going to get flamed. However, excessive flaming or flaming that serves only to insult or degrade another member is not permitted and will be deleted.

The Unspoken Rules

Established members are aware of a strict set of unspoken rules that everyone must follow for the best interest of all members. Some of these rules are listed below.

1. Never openly post a source. Quite simple really but some people don't follow this rule. A good rule of thumb to follow is this: Legitimate sources do not openly post their name or email address. For the most part, sources want to protect their anonymity and cannot do this by openly posting to message boards. Most sources who openly post to boards are scammers. Never post a source to a board, even with the best of intentions.

2. Don’t openly ask for sources. If you are a newbie and openly post a Thread asking for sources, the only people who will contact you are scammers. The best way to find a dependable source is to read between the lines and contact a monitor.

3. Do your research! You will get flamed, and deservedly so, if you post questions like, "What is anadrol?", "How do I use steroids?", or "What is your favorite flavor of Met-RX?" The forum exists to allow for the exchange of information and ideas, and simple questions like these take up valuable space on the board. Please refer to our steroid FAQ if you are new to sports pharmacology. This document will answer most of your basic questions.

4. Remember that the board is an open, public forum and everyone has access. Anyone can access The Extrem Forum, and anyone can read and respond to the Threads. Knowing this, you should apply some common sense when posting to the board.

5. Finally, everyone should remember that as a public forum, the owners, administrators, employees, and advertisers of Anabolic Extreme have no control over the content of The Extreme Forum portion of the site. The Extreme Forum takes on a life of its own and you, the members of The Extreme Forum, dictate the direction it takes. Have fun and remember, knowledge is power.
