Q&A

GRENDEL’S VISIT TO CALI
Well, Grendel
has come and gone and I’m left with nothing but a messy house and
an empty refrigerator. I’m
now claiming Grendel as a dependant on my income taxes.
The trip went nothing like I had planned, when he arrived
here I had hoped that we would be able to train twice a day and both
make dramatic improvements. As
luck would have it, I got sick about two days after he arrived, and
ended up being sicker than I’ve been in years.
Even now, I’m still sick and dropping weight faster than an
anorexic on crank. Thank
goodness for Doctor Scruggs and his assistant, they called in a
prescription for me and I’m hoping to feel better soon.
I can only imagine the fun it’s going to be returning to
the gym, I must have lost over 20 lbs of LBM at this point.
ANDRO
SPRAY EXCITEMENT!
Well, we’re
approaching week 4 of the Andro Spray challenge and the feedback
I’m getting from the participants is hard to believe.
In fact, if I weren’t running this experiment myself, I’d
probably criticize the hell out of the results, they’re simply
shocking. Here’s an
excerpt of an email I received two days ago from Owen Graham, one of
the testers.
“Hey
Jason! The Andro Spray
is working or I'm just getting a great placebo effect. I'm up to
212...all time high. My
strength is going up every workout.
Training is going great. Today I start week 4.
12 lbs in three weeks...not too bad.”
Now,
you’ll notice that Owen has not put on 14 lbs on 12 days (or was
it 12 lbs in 14 days?) and he’s not punching through steel.
But, 12 lbs in three weeks is almost hard to believe,
especially for a natural athlete.
Bottom line, Andro Spray is damn effective if you’re a
natural athlete, and should become part of any natural bodybuilders
bag of tricks. But, you
can see the results for yourself in the next couple of weeks.
Kinda
brings up an interesting thought in my mind.
I’m sure there’s a lot of you that are natural that would
consider the use of an Andro Spray product crossing the line. Hey, maybe it is. I
don’t know how we determine what’s “natural” and not
anymore, is the determination made by the legality of the product in
question or by the governing body of some sports association?
If we lived in a county like Thailand, would it be ok to use
steroids since they’re not illegal?
I guess that for natural athletes, the only criteria that
matters is that which is in your own head.
There is almost no line between illegal anabolic steroids
(for bodybuilding purposes anyway) and legal OTC supplements.
And as prohormones continue to get better and better, the
line between the two gets fuzzier and fuzzier.
THE
1-AD CHALLENGE
Very
shortly, we’ll be printing the results of the Andro Spray
challenge, and I know all of you are going to be impressed.
Because the Andro Spray test has turned out so well, Pat and
I decided we should do the same thing with his new product 1-AD.
Now, I know a lot of you were hesitant to use a product like
Andro Spray because it’s kind of a pain in the ass to have to hose
yourself down with 4-AD every day.
I’m sure that many of you will be a lot more accepting of
the rigors of using a product like Andro Spray when you realize that
you’re going to be gaining 15 lbs of LBM in 4 weeks.
However, we’re pretty confident that 1-AD will produce
similar results, and since it simply requires that you swallow a few
capsules every day.
Those
of you that are interested in participating in the test of 1-AD will
need to follow the same requirements we instituted for the Andro
Spray challenge. Those
were…
1.
All potential
candidates must have been natural for at least a year prior to the
test.
2.
All potential
candidates must have been actively weight training at least a year
prior to the test.
3.
All potential
candidates must not deviate from their normal weight training
routine or diet during the 4 week period of the test
4.
All potential
candidates must provide a “before” picture and an “after”
picture with proof (by holding a dated publication in their hand)
that each was taken immediately before and immediately after the 4
week test period.
We
only used 5 test subject for the Andro Spray test, and it was damn
hard to find 5 people that met the above criteria that were willing
to take before and after pictures.
I’d like to use more than 5 test subjects for the 1-AD
challenge, but that’s really up to you guys.
I think a lot more people will be willing to participate in
the 1-AD challenge after seeing the results for the Andro Spray
test, but that’s just a guess on my part.
Again, contact me at Jason@anabolicextreme.com
if you’re interested in participating.

ARE
ALL PROFESSIONAL BODYBUILDERS REALLY SMART?
Question:
I’ve been reading AE for a long time and you seem to bag a lot on
the intelligence of most professional bodybuilders.
Yet, when I read the articles they write in publications like
Flex, they seem pretty damn smart to me.
Is this just an issue of sour grapes with you?
Answer:
I’m going to let you in on a little secret.
It’s kind of shocking, so you may want to sit down for this
one. Most of the articles that appear in magazines like Flex that
are attributed to various professional bodybuilders are either
heavily edited or completely ghost written.
Let me give you an example of what I mean.
In the latest issue of Flex (April 2001), Ronnie Coleman is
quoted as having made the following statement:
“I’m
an avid proponent of performing preacher curls with a cambered bar
because it reduces stress on the wrists and biceps tendons, and it
also brings the brachialis partly into play.”
Now,
this statement isn’t too far from what Ronnie really said, which
went something like this:
“I
likes curls. Eckspecially
wit dat one curly bar dats all crooked.”
Now,
at first glance, those two quotes may seem worlds apart.
However, the basic message behind the two is the same, it’s
just that the first one was cleaned up a bit.
And while this certainly is an attempt to be funny on my
part, the reality of what happens in bodybuilding magazines probably
isn’t too far from what I’ve printed here.
I know that the Weider boys would be mortified if Ronnie’s
actual writing ever appeared in Flex, I don’t think a bunch of
monosyllabic words written on construction paper with a crayon is
going to make a good impression on anybody.
Are
most bodybuilders stupid? Not
any more so than your average Joe.
Unfortunately, your average Joe is oftentimes an idiot.
Since there are very few people in this world that have an
ability to write (trust me, I know), I think it’s kind of
ridiculous to think that every professional bodybuilder can do so.
About the only guy I can think of that can write his own
material is Shawn Ray. Now,
there’s probably a few more, but only a handful of guys are
actually writing. Sorry
to burst your bubble friend, that’s just how it’s done.

HOW
LONG IS GH STABLE WHEN IT’S NOT REFRIGERATED?
Question:
I need to know how long HGH lasts after it has been mixed if you
don't refrigerate it. Thanks.
Answer:
That’s a good question. I
know there’s been a lot of misinformation spread about how long GH
is active after reconstitution, and the primary source for this
misinformation is the pharmaceutical companies themselves.
If the conspiracy theory portion of my brain is allowed to
freely speak, it would tell you that this is because the
pharmaceutical companies are riding the money train created by AIDS
for as long as possible. See,
since GH is incredibly expensive, and since GH has been approved for
treatment of the wasting condition associated with AIDS, it stands
to reason that if people are led to believe that they have to use
reconstituted GH within 24 hours, the pharmaceutical companies make
a hellava lot more money. Isn’t
it strange that all GH sold in the US contains much more hormone per
vial than is necessary for most individuals to use within 24 hours?
So,
here’s the real skinny. With
the exception of Nutropin, all brands of GH have a REFRIGERATED life
of about two weeks. That
means that is you reconstitute it and immediately refrigerate it,
you can store a vial for about 14 days without the product losing
any potency. This is straight out of the PDR, if you look up the Stability
and Storage of Humatrope for example, you’ll find that exact info.
As
far as non-refrigerated life is concerned, that’s another story
all together. I
wouldn’t feel comfortable using non-refrigerated GH longer than 24
hours after reconstitution. GH
is meant to be refrigerated after mixing, and really shouldn’t be
mixed unless you’re planning on using the entire contents of the
vial within 24 hours when refrigeration isn’t possible.

HOW
DO I SIGN UP FOR ANABOLIC EXTREME TRAINING?
Question:
I’ve heard you discussing training in the past, and would like to
get your input on my program. How
do I start the process to become a client?
Answer:
Well, if you click on the training link on the AE website, you’ll
find all the info you need. I
am constantly signing up new clients as old clients drop off, so
I’ve always got space available.
I try not to have extremely long relationships with any one
client, simply because I feel guilty taking a persons money for very
long when I could simply educate them in a few months and have them
go at it on their own. That’s
my goal as a trainer, to educate clients so they’re comfortable
proceeding on their own.
