DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE ANABOLIC EXTREME STORE!

Ok, this is a tough subject for me to address, but it’s gotta be done.  Look folks, this is a free weekly publication.  “Free” is kind of a misnomer, because it’s only free to you guys.  It costs me money every week to produce AE, especially now that Grendel has come out of the closet.  Hey, he’s got to pay for his subscriptions to Inches and Blue Boy magazines, plus the cost of interior decorator school isn’t getting any cheaper these days.  And on my end, I’ve got a full time girlfriend to support.  One who is a professional cheerleader and pageant competitor.  Need I sat more?  And finally, it costs me quite a bit of money to maintain this girlish figure of mine, I mean, who can weigh 300 lbs on less than 4000 mg/week these days?

In all seriousness, AE is a KING SIZED NUT to produce each and every week.  And as great as it is, it could be so much better.         There are quite a few writers out there I’d love to see producing material for Anabolic Extreme, but we can’t afford to pay them.  A really good writer in this field will charge anywhere from $0.75-$1.00/word for an article.  Given that I don’t like to print anything less than 1500 words in length, you do the math.  Many of the articles on AE are written by people who don’t ask to be compensated or are willing to work for far less than the industry standard (a la Grendel).  Still, IT COSTS MONEY. 

So, what I’m asking from you guys is simple.  If you buy Syntrax supplements, buy them from us.  That’s about the extent of my sales pitch folks.  I’m not asking you to try Adipokinetix if you’re already hooked on Xenadrine (even though you should!).  I’m simply stating that if you’re already buying Syntrax products on the Internet, make sure you’re supporting the website that brings you a free weekly webzine.  It amazes me when I hear that people are reading AE but buying Syntrax supplements from another online store, like Netrition.  Hey, they offer great service and price (as do we), but are they bringing you a free hardcore bodybuilding publication every Friday?  Bottom line here guys is that the more you buy, the better AE becomes in the future.  Thanks for listening to my rant, now on to more informative matters.

PART II OF PLAYING THE GAME

Yes, I know I was supposed to post this last week, and now it’s not here again.  I had a family emergency that has monopolized my time, and I wasn’t able to finish the piece as planned.  It’s now done, but since we’re printing Grendel’s humorous piece this week, I didn’t think it prudent to print one by me as well.  After all, this isn’t Mad Magazine.  Look for Part II of Playing the Game to appear in next weeks issue.  And thanks for actually writing in and asking about it, it’s nice to know someone is actually reading my articles!!

HORSE AND PIG GH.  CAN I USE IT?

Question: I have made a couple of posts on the discussion board as MrAust, but wanted to ask you about your opinions on pig growth and horse growth. Can these be used as an alternative to HGH since its almost impossible to get real HGH her in Australia. Everything I've seen in the last few years is fake regardless of what people tell you here. When I did have access to it I never bought any due to the high price and I didn’t think it would help me that much between contests. However, recently I have found a legitimate source from a lab that has access to plenty of pig growth and horse growth. I can get as much as 10 vials at 189 iu’s each for a total of $au1000 (ie 1890iu’s) for the horse and the pig is just a little more expensive. We do however have access to a lot of media grade IGF -1.

Answer: Do not, I repeat, do not use horse, pig, or bovine GH!  Understand the growth hormone is a protein, made up of a long sting of amino acids.  Horse, pig, and bovine GH do not have the same amino acid structure as human GH, and your body will develop an immunological response to these foreign proteins to destroy them.  If that’s not bad enough, you run the risk of your body developing antibodies that will attack your own GH in response to the administration of the animal forms, and now you’re really screwed.  If you can’t afford or obtain human GH, stick with good old-fashioned steroids.

PERIACTIN AND ARIMIDEX.  HOW DO I USE THEM?

Question: Can you give me your opinion, dosage, effect/side effects, etc. on two "items" I am very interested in incorporating into my next cycle (in a few months)Periactin (I gotta get my appetite up) and Arimidex (I hear it works just like Teslac, because I am very prone to AAS side effects....especially gyno). I am asking a few people "in the know" (I hope) on the AE staff to get a general consensus.  I'd like to see what the overall truth is about these items and what their downsides/dosages is.  I've heard 1 pill, all the way up to 3 pills per day  before bed for the Periactin, on account of the "knock you out" effect.  The Arimidex, I've heard 25mcg to 1 gram per day...but isn't no estrogen in your body going to significantly cut down on my growth during my cycle??  Is there a "happy medium" where I can have enough estrogen necessary for growth, but not enough to cause my gyno........or is it a trial and error to see what works for me ??

Lastly is "newsbc" the only/best place to get these two items, or can you direct me to better/cheaper connections? Arimidex seems awfully expensive.  Please respond ASAP.  You guys seem like the best, most honest bunch I have come across yet.......and I've seen and read A LOT in this industry.  I pride myself on being a knowledgeable/informed bodybuilder........not just a daredevil/brain dead one.  Keep up the good work and information. 

Answer: Well, let’s start with Periactin.  I’ve covered this drug before, so if you want to learn everything you’ll need to know about it and more, read the back issues.  As far as dosages are concerned, start out with 1 tablet of periactin (which contains 4 mg of cyproheptadine hcl) per night for a week and see what happens.  It’s possible to increase your dose up to 20 mg per day, but I’ve yet to hear about someone who needed such a high dose.  I’ve never gone beyond 4 mg per day, simply because 4 mg accomplishes my goals of improving sleep and increasing appetite.  4 mg will probably be sufficient for you as well.

On to Arimidex.  Arimidex (anastrozole) does not work like Teslac, it functions by attaching to aromatase, which in turn blocks the aromatase enzyme from changing androgens to estrogens.  On the other hand, Teslac works by inhibiting the formation of aromatase in the first place.  Teslac has the added benefit of perhaps permanently reducing estrogen levels in the body, as this excerpt from the Physicians Desk Reference demonstrates: “Based on in vitro studies, the aromatase inhibition may be noncompetitive and irreversible.  This phenomenon may account for the persistence of testolactone’s effect on estrogen synthesis after drug withdrawal.”  Anyway, given that both Teslac and Arimidex are both expensive and very hard to acquire, I’d stick with Arimidex if you can find it.  1 mg of Arimidex every 3^rd day should be enough to prevent any problems you might have with gyno, as anastrozole has a very long half-life (about 50 hours). The recommended dose of Arimidex is 1 mg per day, but remember, that’s for use as an anti-cancer drug for women with breast cancer.  1 mg every 3^rd day should be sufficient for your bodybuilding needs, even if you are very sensitive to estrogen.  Additionally, this dosing schedule makes using Arimidex a little easier on your wallet. 

As far as sources for the two drugs, I do not know of a more reliable source then SBC. 

HELP!  I CAN’T GET THE DAMN AMPS TO OPEN!!

Question: I just recently obtained a large quantity of Nile Sustanon out of Egypt.  I got it at a great price, and was thrilled until I tried to open one of them.  I can’t get the tops to snap off like other amps I’ve used and I’ve already broken 3 of the damn things.  Any advice?

Answer:  Ah, the infamous Nile Sustanons.  They are a bitch to open, aren’t they?  At one time, I had several hundred and found that the only way I could open them was by holding the amp and shattering the top with a kitchen knife.  It worked, but I pissed off several people when they stepped in the tiny shards of glass that were left over.  It got to the point where I really didn’t look forward to using Sustanon, since it took so long just to get the amps open.  Fortunately, I found the solution to the problem.  You see, when you get these Sustanons in Egypt, they are packaged with a little saw that’s used to score the neck of the amp and it will crack right open. Of course, smugglers don’t give a shit about the little saw, so you never see that item when you about your gear.  And the little tip you read about using a nail file is utter bullshit.  Nail files may work, if you’re willing to spend 10 minutes scoring the neck of an amp with one in order to get it open.  I’m not.

Recently I was contacted by an AE member, telling me about a new tool he had acquired to open amps.  He wanted to know if I’d be interested in trying one out, since he had ordered two and had an extra one on hand.  Well, guess what?  The damn thing works great, and I haven’t had a problem with the Niles since.  If you guys are using amps and having a hard time getting them open, you have got to buy one of these little amp openers.  You can order them directly from www.androusa.com, and will find them at the bottom of the medical supplies page.  No more broken amps!!  By the way, this is also a great place to get syringes and other hard to find items. 

WHAT’S AVAILABLE IN MEXICO?

Question: I'm traveling to Mexico and was wondering what, other than Sustanon and Primobolan, was available done there that was any good.  That is, assuming I wanted to purchase such items.  Thanks for your help.
