Extreme
Q&A CONGRATULATIONS
ON THE NEW WEBSITE Questions:
I
never thought I’d send you guys and email, but after seeing the
new Anabolic Extreme website, I felt compelled to write.
The new AE is awesome, it really blew me away.
It must have cost you a fortune!
I’ve been a reader since issue #2 and cannot believe the
changes that have taken place since the magazines inception.
Keep up the good work and stay hardcore! Answer:
I’ve received
several hundred emails praising the new website, and I’d like to
thank all of you for taking the time to write in with your comments.
Because the new site is so unique, I didn’t know how it
would be received so it’s nice to get so much positive feedback.
The website was quite a project, taking a web design team
several months to complete at a cost that I try not to think about. Doing so makes
it difficult for me to keep down my protein shakes. Nevertheless, it came out great and is just the first of many
changes that will be taking place here at AE.
I always feel like no matter how good we’re doing it, it
can always be done better. GETWOOD
POWDERS? Question:
After seeing
information about the products offered by SBC and Getwood on the
Extreme Forum, I contacted them and placed an order.
I just received 5 g of methandrostenolone and have no idea
how I would measure this out. Can
you help me? Answer:
There
are a few ways you can go about measuring the pharmaceutical grade
powders from Getwood. One
way would be to buy a very sensitive electronic scale and measure
the powder out manually. These
scales can be purchased at the smoke shops that are prevalent at
every major city or off the Internet.
You’ll also need to procure some empty gelcaps; most health
food stores will carry these. This
allows you to produce capsules of whatever milligram strength you
desire. While this
method is very accurate, it’s also very tedious and takes several
hours to produce enough capsules for a cycle. The
quickest and easiest method is too simply dump the powder into
propylene glycol and take it orally. While this may seem to be an inexact process, it’s actually
a very good way to produce an accurately dosed product. The Getwood powders are very precisely measured, so the
strength of your final product is easily determined by the amount of
propylene glycol used. Let’s
say you wanted to produce a product similar to Reforvit-B, a very
popular Mexican veterinary preparation containing 25 mg of
methandrostenolone per ml. To produce an equivalent product, you
would simply measure out 200 ml of propylene glycol and add the
contents of your 5 g package. The
resultant mixture will contain approximately 25 mg/ml of
methondrostenolone, the same as the Reforvit-B.
The same principal applies to the other anabolic products
available from this source. To
make a liquid product that’s equivalent to Anadrol-50, you’d
simply dump 5 g of your oxymetholone powder into 100 ml of propylene
glycol. Each ml of this
liquid product would be equal to one 50 mg tablet of Anadrol.
Since these preparations are being taken orally, sterility
isn’t an issue. The
liquid can be swallowed directly or injected into an empty gelcap
and then swallowed. Happy
mixing! WHO’S
MR. X? Question:
I just
recently read the lastest issue of MuscleMag International and was
wondering if you knew the identity of the anonymous bodybuilder
interviewed by Greg Zulak. Answer:
Well, because I
have unique insight into the underbelly of bodybuilding, I do know
the identity of the mysterious Mr. X.
His name is Greg Zulak.
I must admit, I was impressed that Greg managed to include
every bodybuilding cliché and stereotype into a very short
interview. Let’s see,
he managed to slip in the natural bodybuilder who juices, the
bodybuilder who supports himself through sexual trysts, the standard
b.s. on beating drug tests and lie detectors, and of course, the
unbelievably arrogant attitude.
Nice work my friend. It’s
not an uncommon practice for magazines to make up interviews,
they’ve been doing it for years. Realistically, bodybuilders are very closed-mouth about what
actually goes on in the sport, and the things they have to do in
order to be successful. Yes,
there certainly is a very seedy side to the whole sport of
bodybuilding. However, there’s a seedy side to almost any endeavor in
life. Making up an
interview of this sort reeks of tabloid journalism at its worst.
For more of the same I would suggest reading the Star or
Weekly World News. THE
AE PHYSIQUE TRANSFORMATION CONTEST Question:
I just read
on the new website that you’re going to be having a physique
transformation contest. I’m assuming you’re going to have to use boatloads of
Syntrax supplements during the course of the contest in order to
enter. Why don’t you
guys stop pretending to be different and just admit you’re going
to do things just like everyone else? Answer:
How’s that old
saying go? When you assume things you make as ass out of you and….
well, that’s all I can remember.
The AE physique transformation contest will be totally unique
from anything that’s ever been done before.
We’ll have two main classes for competitors, natural
and…..not natural. While
the natural group cannot use anything other than legal, OTC
supplements in order to improve their body, the other group has free
reign to use whatever the hell they want.
Our goal is to chart the kind of progress that can be made
naturally vs. using drugs over a given period of time. Certainly
part of any physique transformation is commercial in nature. We plan
on giving away some fairly decent prizes to the winners, and that
costs money. While
we’re not going to be giving away a Lamborghini and $50,000 cash,
the top prize will be enough to interest quite a few people.
So, in order to get our sponsors to cough up some dough for
the contest, we figured out a way to make both them and our readers
happy. Rather than
requiring contestants to use a certain brand of supplements during
the course of the contest, we’re going to offer an added incentive
to those who do and can show proof.
Let’s say for example that the top prize is $100 (I use
these figures just to illustrate my point, don’t panic!).
If you were to win and could produce a receipt for $100 or
more of a sponsor’s products that were purchased during your
transformation, you would win an additional $50. We’re
a few weeks out from releasing the details of the contest, we’ve
got to make sure the new site is functioning at 100% before we move
on to other projects. I’ll
keep everyone updated via this column so be sure and check back here
for more information. In
terms of Syntrax Innovations, Inc., we have no direct affiliation
with them. At this
point, they are our main sponsor but this will change very soon.
Personally, I think Syntrax makes good products but we
promise never to adulterate our message with hype or endorsements
for their products (or any other manufacturer’s products for that
matter.) RESISTANCE
TRAINING. WHAT METHOD
WORKS BEST? Question:
I wanted to
get your thoughts on what type of training is the most effective.
Everyone is claiming their system is best and with all of the
various programs out there, it’s confusing the hell out of me.
What’s your opinion? Answer:
When
I started working out, I went through the same dilemma.
This was about 13 years ago, and Weider had the lock on
bodybuilding journalism. I’d go through publications like Flex and Muscle &
Fitness and read about all of the various Weider Principals that the
champions used to build their bodies.
Let’s see, we had the Weider Instinctive Training
Principal, the Weider Muscle Confusion Principal, blah, blah, blah.
Old Joe managed to take credit for just about every way to
train, if you could add muscle by sitting on the toilet, I’m sure
we would have seen the Weider #2 Principal.
Needless to say, I was taken aback by all of these various
ways to train and had no idea what I needed to do to add muscle. Today
things are a little better, it seems we do have some bona fide
experts giving advice on how to properly train.
We also have a lot of guys still claiming their system is
best, and that you’re an idiot if you even consider using anything
else. Mike Mentzer
comes to mind, he’s been claiming his Heavy Duty system is the
only effective way to train for years.
Now, I’m not knocking Mike or his system of training.
I’ve used Heavy Duty myself and have found it to be a
fairly effective way to train for short periods of time.
However, it is not THE most effective way as Mike would have
everyone believe. His
attempts to convince the world that Heavy Duty is the end all be all
of training systems is motivated by his desire to make as much money
as possible selling his books and training manuals. The
reality of the situation is that there is one way to train that’s
more effective than any other to add muscle.
It’s called Resistance Training, ever heard of it?
Within the realm of Resistance Training, there are virtually
thousands of variations that can be extremely effective at building
muscle. What may work
for you may not work as well for me.
Additionally, you cannot create a system of training and say
it applies to everyone who chooses to resistance train.
How can you account for lifters’ experience, body type, and
a million other variables by simply plugging them into a static
program. You can’t! Anabolic
Extreme is committed to bringing you the very best information on
how to properly train. We’re not interested in endorsing any system over another,
we just want to help you get results in the shortest time possible.
We recently managed to get a verbal commitment from a
world-renowned strength coach to write for the magazine.
Who is this masked man?
He should be coming on board within the next 4 weeks.
Stay tuned! |
